I stopped believing in laundry fairies a long time ago; I have a laundry monster instead. A mountain of clothes greets me every morning and dares me to take it on. Am I up to the challenge?

I have an assortment of “weapons” at my disposal:

• Sturdy laundry basket
• Roll of quarters
