We are still waiting for Hurricane Isaac to arrive. He’s supposed to make landfall some time in the middle of the night. Isn’t it strange how storms always sneak up on you when you’re sleeping? Somehow, I doubt I’ll be sleeping tonight.
When I got up this morning, the wind was starting to howl a bit. To me, it sounded more like whining and complaining. The trees weren’t moving very much yet, but there was a little action:

We decided to make one last run to the grocery store and they already had one of the entrances “boarded” up. It makes the whole thing kind of surreal.
It’s raining–well, sprinkling is a better description–on and off; but I expect we’ll see some real rains in a couple of hours. The winds are starting to pick up and I even got pushed pack a little as I went to the car for the last case of water.
