I don’t watch a lot of television anymore. I find that the tv can be distracting to the kids, especially if it’s around bedtime. If I want to watch a show or a movie, I can just view it on my computer. Unfortunately, the volume on my computer is rather low; combined with my hearing difficulties, that makes it very hard to follow what’s going on. I’ve tried to use headphones, but even they don’t help when there are distracting noises like the air conditioner, cars on the street, and cats fighting.
I’ve been wanting to try noise canceling headphones but I haven’t been able to find the right ones until recently. AblePlanet sells a pair called the Traveler’s Choice that seem to be just what I need. These headphones are state-of-the-art with patented LINX AUDIO technology® and feature:
- a switch for noise cancellation
- foldable design, with a bag for travel
- adjustable headband length
Traveler’s Choice headphones are lightweight and fit over my ears comfortably. Bud earpieces always hurt my ears and these are such a welcome change! I like that I can adjust the volume directly on the cord and switch off the noise cancellation if I need to hear someone speak to me. I feel like I’m in my own world when I use these headphones; I don’t notice anything else around me. I also like to listen to music with them on. I listen to different music at different levels and the volume control sure is handy!
You can find Traveler’s Choice Noise Canceling Headphones at AblePlanet.com.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

My husband bought noise-canceling headphones many years ago because of his work. I’ve used them in airplanes and also at home.
