I’m so glad that it’s fall and the weather will finally start cooling off. I almost didn’t make it this summer. We were without air conditioning for about a week in June. Heat doesn’t go well with long hair. Usually, I wind up cutting my hair off at some point during the summer. For some reason, the urge to go short didn’t strike me this year. That makes me pretty happy since we are on the cusp of cooler weather; I’ll need my hair.
But we aren’t quite experiencing a lot of cooler weather yet. In fact, we are supposed to have a high of 83° today. During days like this, I like to wear my hair up. My go to accessory has been a small Flexi Clip from Lilla Rose.
I love the Flexi Clip because it will secure all of my hair when I put it up. Plus, it is made of quality metal pieces that won’t break if I accidentally step on it. It’s great for most hairstyles. Not only can I use it for a French twist or similar updo; I can also use it to pull my hair back when it’s down or in a ponytail. If I continue to grow my hair, I can buy a Flexi Clip in the next size up. There a number of other accessories at Lilla Rose that I want to eventually try out such as hair bands and hair sticks.
The only disappointment in not cutting my hair off this summer is that I won’t be able to donate it. But I’m unsure on the rules for colored hair, so it may just best this way. Plus, I enjoy having the flexibility with longer hair that shorter hair just doesn’t provide. I have had many a day that I haven’t wanted any hair at all on my nape; I’m glad I kept it long so I can put it up. And less face it, it’s going to stay up through most of our “winter.” You have to love the South!
Disclosure: I received a Flexi Clip gratis in exchange for my honest review. No other compensation was provided and all opinions are my own.
How will you be wearing your hair as we go into the fall and winter?
