W has always been appreciative of clothing. Give her a new dress and a toy, and she’ll immediately put on the dress.  I’ve made her some special outfits, but I thought she might like to have an outfit that matches Mommy’s. I turned to Jarita from Handy Stitches for assistance in picking out the perfect mother and daughter outfits for me and my little girl.

I asked Jarita to make a custom set of skirts for W and me. She was very helpful in picking out fabric for us and making sure our measurements were correct. Sometimes I’m not so great at measuring fabric and I have wasted many a yard cutting the wrong length.

W’s skirt was made long enough to last her a couple of seasons, which is good because she’s growing like a weed! I love the fabric that we decided on–it’s so pretty.

I went a little shorter than my usual maxi length and I couldn’t be more pleased. No more tripping over my hem!

The skirts are also the perfect length for splashing in the pool. Such a blessing during these hot, summer days!
