No one ever said summer was devoid of photo opportunities. Whether they are kicking up sand at the beach or just hanging around the backyard, moms always have a camera ready to capture those special moments. Setting the camera down by the jungle gym isn’t always a good idea, so you need to have a way to have it close by.
Started by a mother and daughter team, mod. offers a number of products for the camera enthusiast, without sacrificing style of comfort. The following type of items are available for both SLR and DSLR cameras:
- Camera Straps
- Camera Pouches and Accessory Bags
- Strap Wraps
- Cap Savers
Camera straps range from a basic style to a premium style that is lined with Minky Cuddle Plush fabric. Straps, pouches, and bags are offered in a variety of colors and fabrics. The bags and pouches are designed to keep your camera and equipment dirt free; they can be used hands free when paired with the mod. strap. You can even coordinate your Cap Saver to match them, as they come in many different styles. Never forget where you put your lens cap again!
I chose a Premium Strap in Yellow and White Damask. It is lined with black minky and has genuine leather ends. It was a bit daunting to attach to the camera at first; but when I figured out one side, I was quickly able to do the other. The ends themselves are adjustable, so I am able to shorten the strap if I need to. Quick release ends make removing the strap from your camera a snap; this is especially helpful when you have a tiny camera bag like me.
The soft minky fabric of the mod. strap was a welcome change from the thin webbing of my old one. It didn’t rub against my neck at all–it’s much like having a blanket for a camera strap. Of course, don’t let that mislead you. These straps are sturdy and well-constructed; the fabric used is a quality one and I know it will last. You can find mod. straps and other camera accessories at modstraps.com. Use coupon code 1FREECS at checkout and get one cap saver for free with the purchase of a premium strap. Disclosure: I was provided with a strap gratis in order to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
