One of my favorite things to do during the summer is go on a staycation. This summer, we visited the downtown area, but in previous summers, we have ventured to the Northshore for a little fun. Even staying in a hotel room can provide new experiences. I recently had room service for the first time!

Even when staying at a hotel, I tend to wake up at the crack of dawn. I usually function best at early times, before the crazy of the day gets to me. Waking up on time can be a problem, since a wakeup call from the hotel would awaken the rest of my family. The same is true for an alarm clock, whether it is an actual clock or one on my phone. Usually, I wind up relying on my natural alarm clock which means I am awake for most of the night. Thankfully, I’ve found away to skip the wakeup call without staying up all night.
How would you like to be awakened gently? I know I would! LARK is a device that wakes you silently without disturbing others nearby. LARK is a great item to have with you on vacation because of the following:
- It wakes you gently with vibration.
- It analyzes your sleep.
- It comes with a free LARK Up app
The LARK and LARK Up app can even coach you on how to improve your quality of sleep. In order to analyze your sleep and to be gently awakened in the morning, you just wear the device strapped to your wrist. No pain or discomfort at all!
In order to use your LARK, you just:
- Charge the device.
- Download the LARK Up app
- Sync the phone and device
I had a little trouble syncing my phone with my app, but that is because I didn’t read the directions correctly the first time. Once I set it up and set the alarm on my app, I was ready to go! The LARK didn’t bother me at all and awoke me as promised. My husband didn’t even bat an eye, even when I couldn’t find my phone to turn off the alarm. Thankfully, the charger has a space to hold the phone and plug in a USB cord for it. I’ll be using that from now on!
As you can see, the LARK Up app gives a thorough assessment of my sleep. I can’t believe I fell asleep so fast or that I woke so many times! If I upgrade to the LARK PRO, I can get coached on how to improve my sleep, based on my sleep type. That would be great for those nights I don’t sleep so well. I can’t wait to see how the LARK works on our next vacation.
