C is a really big fan of magnets. It seems we are always buying another set of magnetic letters or numbers. But they aren’t always numerical or alphabetical figures; he sometimes arranges them so that they make pictures–usually of trains. I really like that he thinks outside the box with them. Sometimes it can be a struggle to spark your child’s creativity.

We recently discovered Magnetic Mosaics Kids from The Orb Factory. These are a great way to introduce a child to different shades and hues, and how to arrange them to make a picture.

The kit is supplied with everything you need to make 20 pictures and more! Included are:
- 600 magnetic cubes in 12 colors.
- 20 numbered templates.
- Magnetic Easel with stand.

Each color has a corresponding color. It’s like a paint-by-number kit–without the mess!

You just place the template over the easel and put the corresponding colors in the numbered squares on the sheet. Both kids really liked doing this picture–they squealed every time they found a new color!

This is not a train! How did we luck out there?
This is C’s personal creation. It is a boy holding an umbrella, next to a house, under some clouds and rain. Cute, right?
