Many years ago, my grandfather gave my grandmother a ring. It was gold band, with a stone for each of them and one for each of their children. My grandmother gave it back. The ring was so awful that each of his daughters refused it, with the exception of my mother. I actually had the ring in my possession for awhile and even wore it. It was bulky and unusual, but the sentiment behind it was so lovely that I looked past its appearance.
I was so inspired by the story of the ring that I wanted my own family piece. I have been searching for “the one” for years. I finally came across a shop where each beautiful piece is made with love. Melody York opened Hope of My Heart Designs in order to reach out to those experiencing infertility. Soon, she expanded her business with memorial designs and mother’s jewelry. This is Melody’s own mother’s bracelet. You can also order an Answered Prayer bracelet of your own.
Melody also offers a wide selection of custom necklaces, as well as bracelets. They can be customized with names, dates, or even Bible verses. This locket necklace both can both signify an anniversary, as well as a couple’s children.
Melody customized my pendant with birthstones and a cross. She put it on a 18″ 3+1 chain which was the perfect length. I feel as though I am now keeping my children close to my heart. I love that the necklace is in silver; it’s my favorite metal for jewelry–so subtle. This necklace is the perfect expression of who I am as a mother. I shall treasure it always.
Hope of My Heart Designs can also create a custom piece for you. Melody is generously offering one reader a $50 gift certificate to her shop. You can enter by filling out the Rafflecopter below. Giveaway is for US only and will end on June 16.
