One of my favorite things to study is the use of aromatherapy essential oils. I began learning about them almost twenty years ago and had several that I used regularly. I lost many of my favorite oils in a flood a while back and just never got around to replacing them until I began making my own cleaning products about six months ago. I find that essential oils work well for someone who is looking for a more natural lifestyle.
One manufacturer of pure essential oils that I was familiar with and trusted was Aura Cacia. Many of the bottles that I had lost were from the Aura Cacia line. Not only do their products contain authentic, pure essential oils, they are sourced ethically:
- Aura Cacia sources their pure essential oils from all over the world, including from the United States, Australia, and Madagascar.
- The workers are treated fairly.
- Safety measures are implemented in procuring the oils.
- All plants are grown in a sustainable manner.
Aura Cacia’s essential oils are frequently tested to meet high quality standards. Organic essential oils are used whenever possible. In addition to selling pure essential oils, Aura Cacia also makes products for the home, babies, and kids. I was recently sent a sampling of some of their products:
Aura Cacia First Response Mist
A refreshing combination of lemon, sweet orange, tea tree, eucalyptus, lavender, and sandalwood oil, this spray is great for purifying the air and surfaces. I keep it in my purse to spray on shopping carts, restaurant tables, and faucet handles. The smell is light and a pleasant way to combat germs.
Aura Cacia Pep Talk Mist
Do your spirits need a lift? Try this blend of lemon, cardamom, sweet orange, and peppermint. It helps give you energy and clear your head. I know that lemon and peppermint both have helped me shake off the cobwebs, so I will be keeping this one close on hand!
Aura Cacia Organic Ylang Ylang III Essential Oil
Ylang ylang is a calming essential oil that is good for anxiety and tension. I have a feeling that I will need it at the end of the day! I think that this has a nice undertone of licorice that makes it stand out from other essential oils. Ylang ylang is a strong oil so I will only need small amounts when using it. I think it would be good mixed with other essential oils or a light carrier oil such as sweet almond oil.
I’m really happy to have added these Aura Cacia products to my aromatherapy collection. I really want to get back into the habit of utilizing essential oils and this is a great way to start. Now you can have a chance at your own Aura Cacia products. Like their Facebook page and you can enter their Om Is Where the Heart Is Yoga Sweepstakes. Entrants have the chance to win a year of yoga, as well as Aura Cacia essential oil products. There is also a contest for studios with a prize of an Aura Cacia gift basket.
Have you ever tried aromatherapy or essential oils?
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
